I have a few favorite visual idioms and elements. This is the closest I will ever get to a tattoo....
First, I'm drawn to a particular style of art deco. If I could have only one art style in my house, this would be it. I do like other forms of art, but this is the style that would be on my salt and pepper shakers, bathroom paraphernalia, etc.
I designed the banner for this site. I'm not thrilled about it, but it was easy to make and is close to what I want.
The icon on this site is based on a graphic that I created in 2003.
The graphic is a square, segmented into five parts, with a central square, and each side bisected so that each corner has a right-angle shaped segment. Each segment has a single, solid color. The design and the colors have meanings.

Variants of these colors may be used, but only by varying the saturation or value amounts; the hue should remain constant.
I used to use a colder, more technical color palette, but I prefer the warmer colors here.

I'll make another page later that gives more information about the domains, and shows the history of this logo.
