I found out about this just by looking at the Astronomy Picture of the Day site from NASA. Today's picture is of the Large Hadron Collider. Very cool, although there's always a part of me that has that Hollywood-spawned creeped-out feeling that we're playing with things we don't really understand, and then BAM we blow up the universe...
